For years now, Dubai has been working hard to attract the best chefs and to find the perfect balance between fine dining and fun dining. If you have been there, you know that there aren't many cities as cosmopolitan as Dubai with its mix of influences from the Middle East, Asia, India, and of course Europe.

Caesars Palace is the spitting image of this diversity. You enter the resort and decide where in the world you want to dine. 5 restaurants from 5 different countries, each led by a world-renowned chef.

As food lovers, this is exactly the type of playground where we love to navigate. Each place has a very unique culinary identity.

This project actually started with a foodie joke : “Gordon Ramsey, Alvin Leung and Takashi Namekata are in a building…“, but it’s also where serious business started.

The main challenge was that we only had five days on site to create a social media campaign for each of the five restaurants. Easy math: one day for each restaurant.

We also set up two teams: one would be filming on site in Dubai, and one would stay in Belgium editing and reviewing all the footage. The idea was to start editing in real time while we were filming to make sure we would have the shortest turnaround possible.

The level of the restaurants we shot there is out of this world. Each of them had its own universe, but also its own codes. We had to translate their respective personalities in each project without losing Caesars Palace’s cohesive identity.

This kind of project is exactly what we strive for: to bring our vision to a brand that entrusts us with the showcasing of its work.

One story can change the world… or at least, this time, make you hungry. So here’s the story of our trip to Dubai.

Day One: Hell’s Kitchen

Hell’s Kitchen is an impressive grill where fire is part of the show created by charismatic chef Gordon Ramsay. The chef turns up the heat, and the place is set to serve up a combination of show-stopping theatre and world-class cooking.

Day Two: Demon Duck

Demon Duck is helmed by none other than celebrity 3-starred chef Alvin Leung, also known as the Demon Chef. This restaurant marks his Middle Eastern debut with a creative twist on Chinese and Asian classics. Special mention to the house’s signature dish: the roasted duck.

Day Three: Venus Ristorante

We travelled to Italy at the Venus Ristorante where guests may savor Italian cuisine inspired by the Amalfi Coast while enjoying panoramic vistas of endless sky and ocean blues.

(Note : we had the brillant idea to wear black in 50°C heat, the biggest brain move ever).

Day Four: Havana Social Club

No need to explain the vibe when you enter Havana Social Club. You immediately hear the sound of Cuban music and see the glasses handled by the bartender preparing a cocktail. The vibrant venue pays homage to 1920s Cuba. Sip the Caribbean’s finest spirits and unwind to chill Latin beats.

Day Five: TakaHisa

Last but not least…

The perfect place to have an unforgettable combination of premium, authentic sushi and the best Wagyu beef in the world.

The elevated concept is the tasty fusion of the minds of Sushi Master Chef Takashi and Wagyu Master Chef Hisao.

To give you an idea of the level of taste one can experience, some of the sea urchins you taste at TakaHisa are difficult to find even in Japan.

We partnered with Caesars Palace and worked hand in hand with their awesome marketing team to make sure everything would go according to plan. It didn’t, but we managed to always get the images we needed and even squeezed a few extras about their brand new brunch place.

Oh yeah… Did I mention we did not interrupt restaurant operations for a single second ?

A professional kitchen can be a dangerous place : fire, knives, slippery floor.

You have to find the balance between being at the right place at the right time to capture the moment you need, and avoiding to disturb the team. That’s when our 15 years of experience working with chefs really pays off ! We love it because people are not focused on being filmed but give us the real deal. We also make sure that guests can enjoy their experience to the fullest by carefully crafting the planning for filming with the amazing team from Caesars Palace.

Great planning, flawless execution, but most of all : a wonderful local team of marketing experts, chefs, and… did I mention great food ?
