Cristel : the flagship of the French luxury industry.

 
 

Created in 1983, in Franche-Comté (France), Cristel is the leader in French manufacturing of high-quality stainless steel cookware.

The company offers different ranges of kitchen utensils associated to removable or fixed handles. The company is known for sponsoring the candidates of the TV show "Top Chef" and positions itself as the leader in its field “French’s luxury cookware company”

In order to reach the expectations of Cristel, each photo was sketched, each item was 3D scanned and/or custom model were created for each handle, cover, pan, from each collection. The scenes were then shot and composed in order to give each image a universe while keeping the focus on the essential: the product.

In order to renew its brand image (in France, but also in the USA and Japan), the company entrusted us for its rebranding.
 To break away from the traditional image of kitchen utensils in a household universe and to distinguish itself from its competitors, the brand wanted to make photographs with a strong visual impact that could differentiate the brand.


Schrodinger developed a sensitive universe that was consistent with the Cristel’s past, visuals that would make their flagship products “alive" : Mutine, Strate, Casteline & Castel Pro.

We quickly realised that we would need to mix media if we wanted to reflect Cristel’s attention to details. Our goal was to blur the line between 3D and real film / photography as much as possible.

 
 

CRISTEL
